Dr. Abhiraj Ramchandani: A Distinguished Pathologist Shaping the Future of Medical Education and Diagnostics Dr. Abhiraj Ramchandani, a distinguished medical professional, has made significant contributions to the fields of pathology, medical education, and diagnostics. His academic journey and professional trajectory exemplify dedication, excellence, and a relentless pursuit of knowledge. Dr. Ramchandani graduated with an MBBS degree from R.D. Gardi Medical College, Ujjain, between 2002 and 2007, where he achieved distinction in key subjects such as Microbiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, and Pediatrics. His academic excellence earned him a gold medal in Microbiology for securing the highest marks in the subject at Vikram University. Following his graduation, he completed a one-year compulsory rotating internship at C.R. Gardi Hospital, Ujjain. His pursuit of higher education led him to qualify for DNB training after successfully passing the DNB-CET in June 2008. In 2012, Dr. Ramchandani earned an MD in Pathology from R.D. Gardi Medical College, Ujjain, where he conducted extensive thesis work on “Immunohistochemical Evaluation of Estrogen and Progesterone Receptor Status in Malignant Lesions of the Breast and Their Correlation with Clinicopathological Parameters.” His research has contributed significantly to the field, laying the foundation for his future academic and clinical achievements. Dr. Ramchandani’s career includes a series of important academic and professional appointments. He began his teaching career as a Tutor in the Department of Anatomy at Index Medical College, Indore, from June to November 2008. Later, he worked as a Demonstrator in the Department of Pathology at R.D. Gardi Medical College, Ujjain, from May to October 2012. His experience in diagnostics was further expanded when he served as a Pathologist and Management Representative at SRL Diagnostics in Indore and Ujjain from 2012 to 2018. From 2014 to 2021, Dr. Ramchandani held significant academic positions at SAIMS, Indore, where he served as Assistant Professor (2014-2019) and Associate Professor (2020-2021) in the Department of Pathology. His leadership in education continued as he joined AIMS, Dewas, where he served as Associate Professor of Pathology until January 2024, before being promoted to Professor in the same department. Additionally, he currently serves as the Director of Lehar Pathology Lab, Ujjain. Throughout his career, Dr. Ramchandani has published ten research articles in both national and international journals, covering a diverse range of topics in histopathology, immunohistochemistry, and clinical pathology. His scholarly contributions have enriched the academic community and provided valuable insights into the evolving landscape of medical diagnostics. In addition to his clinical and academic accomplishments, Dr. Ramchandani has received extensive training in quality management and standards in medical laboratories. He has been trained as an internal auditor for ISO 15189:2007 and NABL 112 by the National Institute for Training and Standardization (Noida) and SRL Diagnostics. Furthermore, he has conducted ISO 15189 training for medical labs, including at LNCT Bhopal and SAIMS Indore, and has served as a certified trainer with 360 Help, focusing on medical laboratory quality standards. His training expertise extends to risk assessment and ISO 22367 standard implementation in medical laboratories, further underscoring his commitment to improving healthcare practices. Dr. Ramchandani’s career is a testament to his passion for advancing medical education, diagnostics, and quality standards.
