After completing his BE in Mechanical Engineering from IIEST (formerly Bengal Engineering College DU) in 1997, Mr. Das pursued an MBA with a specialization in Marketing from IISWBM Kolkata. He embarked on his professional journey with Atlas Copco India Limited, a global leader in air compressors, air treatment equipment, and mining products. Throughout his career, he has worked with several prestigious international companies, including SANDVIK, SKF, and Bry-Air, gaining valuable insights and expertise in each of these organizations. Currently, Mr. Das serves as the Managing Director of Mahr Metrology India Pvt. Ltd., heading the Indian subsidiary of Mahr GmbH. His leadership has been instrumental in turning Mahr Metrology India Pvt. Ltd. into the fastest-growing subsidiary within the Mahr Group, achieving an impressive compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of over 25% in the last three years. His tenure at Mahr has been marked by innovation and strategic growth, and he continues to push the boundaries of excellence within the company. In addition to his role at Mahr, Mr. Das is recognized for his outstanding contributions to other businesses. He founded URB India Bearings Pvt. Ltd., a 100% owned subsidiary of the URB Group, and grew the company into a successful $8 million venture in just three years. As Business Head (Services) for SKF, he successfully redesigned the company’s engagement strategy with key strategic accounts.
