Rita Mukesh Gandhi: A Dedicated Advocate of Holistic Health and Naturopathy

Rita Mukesh Gandhi, born in 1954 in Kolkata, pursued her early education at J.J. Ajmera High School, successfully completing her Higher Secondary (Arts) in 1971. She later obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Home Science from Gokhale College, Kolkata, in 1974, laying the foundation for her future endeavors in nutrition and holistic health.

At the age of 22, she married Mukesh Gandhi and devoted herself to raising a family. A dedicated homemaker, she nurtured three daughters, all of whom are happily married and settled. Her family life was deeply enriched by her association with Shri Pandurang Shashtriji’s Swadhyay movement, a philosophy emphasizing selfless service to humanity. Alongside her husband, she actively participated in this movement, gaining a profound understanding of the importance of social service.

With a lifelong passion for health and nutrition, she sought to channel her interests into meaningful contributions. Once free from familial responsibilities, she embarked on a new journey at the age of 49, pursuing formal education in nutrition. Encouraged by her family and friends, she completed a course in Nutrition and Dietetics from Sophia Women’s College with distinction. Her quest for knowledge continued with a Diploma in Naturopathy from Nature Cure Institute, Nashik, in 2008. Further expanding her expertise, she pursued alternative healing therapies, completing certifications in Acupuncture and Acupressure from Spine Care, affiliated with the National Skill Development Corporation, Government of India. Additionally, she attended an online workshop on Acupressure and gained proficiency in Panchakarma, Facial Marma, Cupping Therapy, and Ayurvedic Dietetics.

To gain practical experience and a broader perspective in the field of dietetics, she worked under renowned dietitian Dr. Vijaya Venkat at The Health Awareness Centre (THAC) for 12 years. She also extended her knowledge to rural communities, conducting lectures on a healthy lifestyle and demonstrating zero-oil cooking techniques in Wangani every weekend for four consecutive years.

Her commitment to holistic health and natural healing has led her to serve as a consultant naturopath, Ayurvedic dietician, and alternative therapist. In addition to her expertise in nutrition, she possesses a deep interest in astrology, numerology, and Reiki, earning the title of Grand Reiki Master. These complementary disciplines enhance her approach to healing and well-being.

Her contributions were recognized on several platforms. She participated in the largest online health summit in February 2021 as a Naturopath and Nutritional Consultant. She also serves as an executive member of the Jyotish Punji Global Foundation. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she volunteered as a dietitian, advising individuals on immunity-boosting nutrition. Her efforts were acknowledged by the then Governor of Maharashtra, Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari.

Her dedication to naturopathy and alternative medicine is driven by a commitment to providing affordable healing solutions for those in need. Recognizing the financial burden of conventional treatments, she strives to offer effective natural remedies at minimal cost. Her contributions were further recognized with a Certificate of Appreciation as a Nutritionist and Healer from the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Delhi, and a Certificate as a Corona Warrior from the International Astro Foundation. She was also honored by the MLA of Alwar, Rajasthan, for her services as a naturopath.

With an unwavering passion for holistic health, she continues to explore and integrate diverse healing modalities, offering relief through naturopathy, Ayurveda, and alternative therapies.
